F16 - Gnome3 - kde apps slow or won't start

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi, I'm fairly new to Fedora but fell in love with the speed of the gnome3 desktop straight away. I was rapt when all my favourite kde apps were working flawlessly too. Sometime over the last couple of weeks some update or another stopped my kde apps from working, all of them. ABRTalways popped up and I sent through quite a few reports even though I don't really understand what was in the reports. A few days ago more updates sort of fixed the problem, ABRT no longer pops up because the kde apps don't crash, they just take forever to open, at the moment I've been waiting for nearly an ho (HowTos)

Here's what's going on.

For the last few days I've been trying to see what's consuming all my space (I had about 400 MB free on the internal memory). It would NEVER finish calculating, even if left on that screen overnight.

I don't know if this was a one-time fluke, or a larger problem, but after a recent update in Fedora 16, gtk based apps stopped being able to load images for me. Logging into gnome3 would give a blank blue desktop, no icons would appear, gtk based apps (e.g. inkscape) would be unable to open images, and disk utility would crash.

I get message "Sorry! The application xxxxx (process com.xxxx) has stopped unexpectedly.

I´ve had my Transformer 101, with Android 3.1 for 2 years now and today it started crashing all of a sudden. I feel really worried because I don´t know what to do! It has been working perfectly today, but after I was using Mozilla Firefox I started getting multiple crash reports "The application Maps (process com.google.android.apps.maps) has stopped unexpectedly.

I have a single sim st21i, non-rooted. I don't have much apps installed but the speed has become really stinking. Only recently I had to reset my phone, to gain the stock speed ,but after just installing a few essential apps, it became sluggish.

I tried apps like memory booster... but they are not effective.
