My Fedora 12 no mount at boot /dev/shm but only manual by terminal istruction
$ mount /dev/shm
This is my fstab
tmpfs /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
Can you help me ?

On boot, udev is giving a mount error.
It appears to not have control of the /dev directory.

I was told to simply go into the fstab folder to allow myself permissions to execute files without becoming root, but instead of following it blindly I need a 2nd opinion. I cannot install a specific program because of configuration problems even though I downloaded all the gcc, g++ etc packages. I got permission denied and here I am in my fstab folder. Anything I can do about this?
When I use the TMPFS set for /var/cache and I reboot the computer and then once the computer has booted back into the Ubuntu 13.10 and login and goto run the Ubuntu Software Center it loads for about 2 seconds and then crashes out.
My System is a
1 x OCZ-SSD Drive 120GB BOOT Drive, With trim enabled in OS
1 X WD-HDD Drive 250GB User Drive
