I have been running Statler Alpha 2 on my Asus EeePC 1005HA for several months and would be 100% satisfied with it if not for one glaring peculiarity - there are certain keys that I must hit twice in order for them to echo once - whether in a terminal or a browser. The keys are apostrophe, double-quote, tilde and back-tic (`). This happened both before and after running "sudo dpkg

zacariaz wrote:(...)if t's true that latin1 does not include certain fairly used characters, then I should think that going non latin1 would be the best course of action. Why is that? You said earlier that when you tried both you noticed no difference. Remember, a keymap is nothing more than rules telling the computer what to do when you press a key.
Hello,
I've very weird problem. I can't type right upper most alphabet on keyboard (ie "P" or "З" in russian). If I type "P", it shows "O".
I've tried other keyboards like swiftkey 3 , iTap keyboard but it's the same. can't type the alphabet "P".
I've also tried full wipe and flashing again. formatting SD card.
I'm tweaking a preinstalled 10.10 install on an EeePC. Alt-anything wasn't working, so I looked in the keyboard shortcuts and saw that when I do an alt-combination the alt key is recognized as "mod5". I remapped alt+f2 to mod5+f2 and it works; at this point I could change all the shortcuts, but it's a very annoying process.
