Greetings. This is kind of a funny setup but I have a laptop running Windows and I have Fedora 11 installed via VirtualBox. I have a USB-to-Ethernet device which then gets owned by the VM. So, the plan is to configure my virtual machine as a gateway, router and DNS server.
Hello, I have some trouble with my NetworkManager. I use wireless connection on my laptop. Yes, NetworkManager can detect all available wireless connection. NetworkManager can make connection to them. But, I don't know why, NM looks like drop the IP. I do 'ifconfig', my wireless don't have IP at all.
This is my log :
I can't get my Broadcoam BCM4322 to connect to a protected access point.
I've tried the drivers from rpmfusion, and tried to build the module with the source+binary package from Broadcom, all with no luck. The failure seems to happen during the WPA negotiation.
I haven't tried connecting to an unsecured WiFi access point.

I'm having a strange problem with my netbook (Dell Mini 9 with Fedora 11). I can connect to my wireless access point, but once I disconnect (restart netbook, etc), my netbook finds the access point, yet the passphrase doesn't get authenticated. It just tries and tries, with no connection. I can see all of the wireless networks in the area, so I know that the wireless card is working.
Today my eth0 has intermittently shut down a couple of times without obvious cause
from router or modem which appear normally lit. This happened a month or two
ago soon after an update and them went away. I have unchecked ssh in the firewall
settings as it is not needed but this has never been a problem.

I've got a BCM 4312 card on a Dell laptop running 10.04 and an Apple Airport network. Since I configured the Airport to use "WPA2 Personal" Authentication, my connection is flaky: it drops for no apparent reason and sometimes I can't connect at all.
After upgrading to F18, connection to wireless network with hidden SSID fails.
