I dont want a Bootchart to be generated on every startup. How do I disable bootchart ?
Once disabled, how do I re-enable bootchart ?
I've got an issue whereby after each reboot the first time I log into my session it takes ages.
my computer boot time is about 125s. This is the bootchart image:

Is there something wrong with the boot process? What should I do to reduce boot time?
Thanks in advance!
I'm having a problem with my Kubuntu. It's almost a fresh install (I've only installed the typical apps/codecs only).
Sometimes it boots fast, and sometimes it boots slow. It's almost random. So, I installed bootchart and now I bring you the logs of a fast boot and a slow boot. I don't know why dmseg says the boot time is almost the same (~52 seconds).
I upgraded to 12.10 a while ago and since then my boot has been quite a bit slower than it was under 12.04.
I installed bootchart so I could see what was going on and there seems to be significant amount of time waiting for upstart-socket-...
I'm not sure how to find a log of this process to see what it's waiting on.
I figured this might be the best place to post this.basically, the bootchart package makes a nice little img of your boot up, and shows what makes things take the most time, etc, etc.If you wanna join in, install the "bootchart" package Here (for those of you with apturl) or through Synaptic or apt-get, aptitude, etc.
title says it all. I have an Asus laptop, the rest of the information you can find in the bootchart png.

I would be very thankful is someone helped me.
I have a problem. My Ubuntu delays a lot to boot, my computer is 4GB RAM, Core2Duo 3.2Ghz
This is my bootchart: http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/138/desktopmvx.png
I can't understand what is the problem.
I have installed bootchart with : sudo apt-get install bootchart but it got stuck in:
update-initramfs: Generating /boot/initrd.img-3.5.0-18-generic
I did Ctrl+C after 35 min, and this is the where is stuck sudo update-initramfs -u -v
Adding firmware radeon/TAHITI_pfp.bin
I don't have an ATI card, but Nvidia.
