I want to edit bsdinstall script of freebsd 9.0 iso file.
I tried to extract files, edit and recreate iso but I couldn't boot it.I realized that some of files missed while extracting.
I have a server which hosts mirrors for FreeBSD, CentOS and Scientific Linux. It includes .iso files.
Is it possible to use pxelinux to boot this ISO over the network?
The stable legacy branch of the popular BSD-based operating system FreeBSD has been updated to FreeBSD 7.3. The release is a housekeeping update that brings some newer packages and some security fixes, but no new features. FreeBSD 7.3 is now available for the amd64, i386, pc98, and sparc64 architectures.
The first RC build for the FreeBSD-9.1 release cycle is now available. ISO images for the amd64, i386, powerpc64 and sparc64 architectures are available on most of our FreeBSD mirror sites.
The second RC build for the FreeBSD-9.2 release cycle is now available. ISO images for the amd64, i386, ia64, powerpc, and powerpc64 architectures are available on most of our FreeBSD mirror sites.
I am having a whirlwind of trouble mounting a drive over nfs onto my FreeBSD machine from Fedora. I can mount from Fedora to Fedora using nfs (and its external IP) without fail, and I can mount from ubuntu to FreeBSD over NFS. I have set Fedora's SELinux to permissive with no noticeable change.
I will try to provide as much information as possible.

The FreeBSD Foundation, the maker of the FreeBSD open source operating system, proudly announced on the last day of 2012 that the FreeBSD 9.1 release is now officially available. Actually, the FreeBSD 9.1 operating system was available for download (without any official release) on the FTP servers of the FreeBSD Foundation since last week.
I have Ubuntu 12.10 as Host OS, FreeBSD 9 as Guest OS in Virtualbox 4.1.18. I have samba installed in both Ubuntu and FreeBSD, and shared few folders from virtualbox, also ticking the automount option. I have also done right click and share in Ubuntu. But when I try to mount in FreeBSD using mount -t vboxfs sharedfolder /home/user/shared it says sharedfolder operation not permitted.
