I downloaded a 32 bit Ubuntu desktop edition from its website recently. I used the process of making the ISO image bootable alike I have done on windows 8/7 on my CD/DVD. but, in this Linux platform, I can't make the ISO image (bootable).
I just installed EasyBCD for my dual boot laptop (Windows7 and Ubuntu 14.04). Everything works great, however if I choose the Ubuntu option on loading, the next screen it takes me to is GRUB2 with the options of Windows and Ubuntu.
I put the jellybro ROM on my prime and it went fine during the process of putting it on the device but when it booted up and the cyanagenmod(on which it is based)boot image appeared it just stays stuck on the image and won't go any furthr foreward.
I can still access Recovery and fast boot I just can't get past the boot image and into the OS.
Hi I got three harddrives two 250gb and a 500gb and yesterday I installed windows on a raid 0 with my two 250gbs and today I installed Ubuntu on my 500gb drive but grub ain't showing the windows as a boot option, I've tried sudo update-grub2 but it just lists the regular :
Generating grub.cfg ...
Found linux image: /boot/vmlinuz-3.0.0-16-generic
Found initrd image: /boot/initrd.img-3.0.0-16-gener
I'm atttempting to install centOS 6.5 on a new dell machine through PXE boot. The PXE boot works fine for other PCs, just the new workstations are problematic. The PXE boot hangs on "Detecting Hardware" indefinately (I let it go for an hour without change).
I have installed lubuntu along with windows 7 (with GRUB dual boot).
Everything was working fine until I had to resize the / partition of lubuntu with gparted.
Since then when I try to boot from Windons 7, it just comes back to the grub menu and I can only boot with linux.
I have tried to fix it with $sudo update-grub, which gives the output:
Generating grub configuration file ...
