Tried searching the forums, but came up empty. Is there a way to add an external WiFi antenna to the Nexus S? Is just as simple as getting an antenna with the proper connector and plugging it into the port on the back of the phone (under the inner cover by the battery)?
I have dlink 801g connected to a large (3ft) Bow-tie external antenna beaming to a bridge 400 meters away. This has worked well for several years. I now must replace this dlink but can now only find N routers with at least two removable omni antennas. Is there any way to connect both outputs to the same external antenna for increased signal?
My 13.04 machine has slowed considerably. I connect wirelessly to a router using an external antenna. I know that the position of the antenna matters a lot. I have checked the position of the router and my antenna. Nothing has changed yet my connection speed has diminished greatly. To try to get a better connection I moved the antenna around. It has a small effect.
Looking back upon the pop-up of android TV stick this year, its kind of surprise and upset. From the coming out of android mini pc mk802 in early 2012,many people see a good idea to make pc that small, but like all new things would go, this thumb-size pc encounters a lot of problems, like weak wifi signal, heat generation.
As you might guess from previous posts I suffer from a poor and intermittent GPS on my phone and wonder if you can but external GPS antennas similar to one you would connect to PDAs.
If so any recommendations?
Many thanks for your time
We all remember Antennagate: the loss of signal on the iPhone 4 caused by poor positioning of exterior antennae. It now it seems Motorola and Verizon’s latest flagship RAZRs are being held back because of a similar issue. According to a Howardforum post, “The signal drop is great enough to create a large amount of users to return the device“.
I am new to the field of radio transmission. I working on a project that involves transmission of 434 Mhz signal through a transmitter receiver pair. I want a directed antenna so that they can communicate only through reflection from other surface. I need it to be low powered as i require a battery and the range be 150 m (80 m approx if it receives from a reflection.) .
