Tried searching the forums, but came up empty. Is there a way to add an external WiFi antenna to the Nexus S? Is just as simple as getting an antenna with the proper connector and plugging it into the port on the back of the phone (under the inner cover by the battery)?
A friend has come to me with an Samsung S3 (GT-I9305) , it works fine with an external Antenna, but once its off the set up it shows not network/ limit signal and can not connect to Telstra , he is using the L1 port on the back of the phone.Has anyone come across this problem before and using external antenna? any help or insite would be great thanks
I need a external antenna for a couple of days.
I heard, that some types of router support mode as "external antenna".
Is it possible to connect router as external antenna?
Should I use special drivers for that?
If answer yes:
Can someone describe step-by-step, how to do it?
I want to use ASUS RT-N56U as a router on OS X or Ubuntu.
I have dlink 801g connected to a large (3ft) Bow-tie external antenna beaming to a bridge 400 meters away. This has worked well for several years. I now must replace this dlink but can now only find N routers with at least two removable omni antennas. Is there any way to connect both outputs to the same external antenna for increased signal?
I was just putting together a proposal for a WLAN for a class project.. and a question came to mind. When changing or adding antenna's to a device, you need to have all of the same antenna's for it to be beneficial, and in most cases the signal is only going to be as good as the least "powerful" antenna (for lack of a better word).
My 13.04 machine has slowed considerably. I connect wirelessly to a router using an external antenna. I know that the position of the antenna matters a lot. I have checked the position of the router and my antenna. Nothing has changed yet my connection speed has diminished greatly. To try to get a better connection I moved the antenna around. It has a small effect.
On the rezound, first where on the back cover is the GPS antenna and second has anyone tried improving it in anyway, such as changing the antenna material or adding to it or extending to the outside of the case? any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.
