http://forums.fedoraforum.org – Hi, I'm trying to use evolution at work, and frequently run into problems. I have set evolution up with one IMAP account and one MAPI account. The main reason I use both is that reading mail with MAPI is unbearably slow (or I haven't found the 'decent speed' checkbox.), it seems to try to scan the entire mailboxes all the time, but it gives me access to GAL and calendar. So basically I read mail with IMAP and use MAPI for GAL and calendar. Problem: Everything I logon or start Evolution I get a gazillion password prompts. I am sure I type my password correctly, but I still lock myse (HowTos)

I am probably in the wrong post / tread/ whatever. But maybe someone can put me on the right track.

I try to configure evolution on my opensuse, for using my outlook account. I tryed a lot, and tryed to understand a lot, but all seems to be very diffucult.

What I completely miss on the internet / documentation / everywhere is what to enter where. I can open in my outlook, the account set

I did a fresh install of Xubuntu 12.10 yesterday and added Evolution 3.6.2 from the Ubuntu Software Center.

When I try to configure the account to work with Earthlink, Evolution defaults to IMAP mail and offers no opportunity to change it to POP. Earthlink is POP.

I have Evolution installed and working, kinda. When I open Evolution, I am asked to give the IMAP password for user on mail.user.com.

I type in the password I use to login to my mail account on my website, and it continues to ask for the password.

Evolution on F17 is crashing here with a POP Gmail account.

I moved my Gmail account IMAP to POP a few weeks ago. Everything is archived at Gmail, so the way I use mail the POP vs IMAP differences are minimized. I have several accounts; all are forwarded to Gmail. POP keeps things simple.

I just set up Evolution via "Online Accounts" in Systems Setting.

Hey, I just installed the beta 2 a week or so ago, and since then I have been trying to get Evolution set up. I installed Gnome 3.6 to replace unity and have been enjoying it aside from this issue. I'm not entirely sure what is causing it, but during account setup, Evolution just doesn't ask for a password. It lets me finish the setup however and opens Evolution to empty folders.

Hi guys,

I'm using FC11 with gnome as desktop and evolution as mail client. I forgot a password from one of my mail accounts. This account is configured on my evolution and password is saved on it.

How can I recovery this password from evolution, or gconf or gnome-keyring ?
