I installed evolution calendar from the software center. But the icon is not showing up in the apps menu in the dash. I've tried restarting after installing but its not coming.

I upgraded from Ubuntu 13.04 to Ubuntu 13.10. I also updated Evolution from 3.8 to Gnome PPA 3.10. My calendar is no longer accessible in Evolution. When I go to the Calendar (i.e. press the Calendar button) the screen switches to Calendar and then the Evolution client hangs. It's no longer responsive.
After having trouble once again with Thunderbird+Lightning after yesterday's updates, I decided to give Evolution a try. I'm liking it so far, but I have the following issue: all the events in my Google calendar which are set as recurrent (say every year, like a birthday) are not showing in my Evolution calendar.
This is something that a lot of people seem to want to, but doesn’t seem to be brilliantly supported.
With the spread of various calenders across phone’s, tablets and computers, its useful to have a single online calender that supports them all. Cue Google Calender and Evolution. Its fairly simple to do.
Firstly a package has to be installed.
Hi, trying to migrate from clawsmail to evolution.there are to aur pacages for a tray icon, both don't work.an email reader without tray icon doesn't make any sense to mecould some one help out.installed the tray-git package, but evolution crashes on startup:(evolution:26310): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_scale_simple: assertion `dest_width > 0' failed
I am at wits end here, I can not get Evolution to remove completely, and the addressbook factory, calendar factory and registry source keep always running at boot. It's not in startup applications, and I purged evolution..
