I installed evolution calendar from the software center. But the icon is not showing up in the apps menu in the dash. I've tried restarting after installing but its not coming.

This is something that a lot of people seem to want to, but doesn’t seem to be brilliantly supported.
With the spread of various calenders across phone’s, tablets and computers, its useful to have a single online calender that supports them all. Cue Google Calender and Evolution. Its fairly simple to do.
Firstly a package has to be installed.
After having trouble once again with Thunderbird+Lightning after yesterday's updates, I decided to give Evolution a try. I'm liking it so far, but I have the following issue: all the events in my Google calendar which are set as recurrent (say every year, like a birthday) are not showing in my Evolution calendar.
Hi, trying to migrate from clawsmail to evolution.there are to aur pacages for a tray icon, both don't work.an email reader without tray icon doesn't make any sense to mecould some one help out.installed the tray-git package, but evolution crashes on startup:(evolution:26310): GdkPixbuf-CRITICAL **: gdk_pixbuf_scale_simple: assertion `dest_width > 0' failed
I decided to switch back to Evolution from Thunderbird but Fedora refuses to recreate /usr/share/applications/evolution-calendar.desktop so if someone out there would mind sharing theirs I would be appreciative. Thanks.
I am using Ubuntu 12.04 with Gnome 3.4.. My problem is that, the events i add in evolution (version 3.2.3) calendar (Both google and local) doesnot show upon gnome shell calendar situated in the top panel... what should i do? My default calendar app is evolution, i checked... please help me...
Since upgrading F18 > F19 on two machines, Evolution won't launch on either one of them. After trying to launch it some threads of it show up in system monitor, like evolution-calendar-factory and evolution-alarm-notify, but I get no interface.
