I cannot print from Document Viewer anymore... been this way for a couple months I think. The same PDF files print fine from Acrobat, command-line, etc. It's only Evince. The job gets stuck in the print queue with status "Processing". I've tried several printers and various settings.
Anybody else have this problem or is it just me?
Hello everybody,
i got this problem with my printer, but it seems really a problem a lot of people are having.
i have ubuntu 10.04, and run on an parrallel port a hp 6l. the printer was found but could not print, the printing documents were pending and then disseappered.
Now i have connected a hp laserjet 8100 DN on the parrallel port.
Ever since I printed a document from Evince in landscape orientation, LibreOffice Calc refuses to print anything correctly. It is scaling and rotating the page so that it fits onto a landscape sheet of A4 (i.e. it is printing every document in 'landscape orientation').
I have wizzed through all of the printing options a few times but can't get to the bottom of this.
I installed a home network printer on my laptop, and could successfully print to it in evince. However, at work I use a remote CUPS server for printing. I added the CUPS server to the print settings of my machine, and the printer from my home network no longer appears there or in other print dialog boxes (such as Chromium).

I just printed a 1-page ODT document from LibreOffice.

I can print the test page and other file types from other applications.
The printer is on the network, a Canon Pixma MX350.

Just upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10 because I was having many issues with 9.04 and read several forum posts suggesting some of them would be fixed with 9.10.
