Internet via Wifi disconnects when I connet ethernet cable to connect a ethernet device?Wifi is configured for DHCP and connected with internet - works okay.
If I connect ethernet cable with computer card, static IP configured to connects an ethernet device, it stops internet access. I remove cable insternet start working again.
I am setting up this on Latitude D830.
I'm interested in the IOGear Universal Wi-Fi N Adapter as a wifi adapter. The fine manual states:

Hi everyone!!!All was working pretty well on my Chakra system (installed one week ago, I'm a newbie on this distro). I rebooted my computer and after rebooting, no way to connect with ethernet ("Setting network address" endlessly).I used a usb wifi key and it perfectly works si it's really a problem with my ethernet card.
Laptop gets the Internet through wifi. I'm trying to plug a router to the laptop to create a new wifi network. Laptop would bridge.

I am having the weirdest problem... I have a work laptop (running Fedora 16) that has connected to my works wifi and ethernet without any problems. I have also connected to the wifi at my girlfriends place without problems. Right now I am at my place and at a total loss for words. I have connected to my home network via wifi and Ethernet... (obviously not both at once).

How does Ubuntu handle the situation where I am plugged into ethernet while also connected via wifi to a wireless access point? Assume that I have good connections to both and nothing between the computer and the internet.
My boils down to how does Ubuntu pick which interface to use? Does it use both? Does it split the traffic?
