Today I downgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 9.04 because of easy gdm themeing availabe in 9.04. The OS is installed on my external hard disk (320.1 GB).After installing the first problem I noticed was that my wireless card was not getting detected and my Broadcom Ethernet controller was also not being detected.

Hi,I was happily using my wifi on my Acer Laptop when I was using live cd of Chakra Linux. But after I installed the linux, Wifi Card is not detected.
I installed Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala on my Toshiba Satellite L310 laptop and not detected the card reader.

Currenly, I'm dual booting Windows 7 and Ubuntu 12.10 64bit on my ASUS K55VD.
I can't or won't completely ditch Windows 7 unless the video card is installable on my Ubuntu partition.
I can't make the best of my laptop or use it's full features if video card is not detected and installed.

Well, I have a class 6 16 gb samsung micro sd card using with lg p500. Two weeks ago after installing some rom(probably icysnap) after booting it can't recognize the sd card but detects it in cwm. So I know my sd card is alright. so I flashed another rom(rasheed's jb) but still it can't recognize the sd card although detected in cwm just like previous times.

Normally, my soundcard is detected and the sound works good.
Lately I've installed Skype. As soon as it was installed the sound option wheren't there anymore. No audio card was detected !
When I delete Skype (or any other softphone application), the sound card is detected again.
