http://serverfault.com – CentOS 6.3, running as root (Shush). Can you please tell me why I would get initialisation failures from the init scripts but the service command works a treat? There was nothing in /var/log/messages or /var/log/libvirt/* all I have it the Terminal output: /etc/init.d/libvirtd start Starting libvirtd daemon: libvirtd: initialization failed [FAILED] I changed the libvirtd logging level to 1, the highest, but saw nothing in messages after another failure. I compile and install xen 4.1.2 source after that I compile kernel 3.0.21 source and install it on ubuntu 11.10 distribution. I use attached pdf file to establish xen dom0 kernel but I use kernel 3.0.21 and xen4.1.2 after I boot system then I install a DOMU HVM guest in my system successfully xm list command show DOM0 and DOMU -two item- in my system but when I want run these commands

I have few virtual machines running under libvirt, and they are stared on the host system startup. This is controlled by libvirtd.service systemd configuration.

This delays the availability of the host system tty until all the virtual guests are started.

How should I configure systemd to not wait on successful start of libvirtd, and leave it to start in the background?

The libvirt-bin daemon libvirtd creates virtual bridge(s) and interface(s) for the virtual machines it controls. NetworkManager kills these connections. I know that it is possible to uninstall or disable NetworkManager, but I wish to use it to manage the real interfaces on my system.

I have one controller node with CentOS and one compute node with kvm hyperviser. I am using OpenStack.

I have been trying to get virt-manager to work for almost 10 hrs now! But virt-manager throws up an error that libvirtd daemon isn't running. Here's the screenshot:

libvirt default runlevel 3 years 32 weeks ago

Hi all I enabled all runlevels for libvirtd. But now I don't remember the default runlevel... I'm using fedora 11. Can anyone help me ??? :(
