I can't figure out how to install the driver for my broadcom wireless card. If I boot up from the live disc Ubuntu has no problem detecting and installing my card's driver, but on my installation it doesn't autodetect it and I can't figure out how to manually install the drivers on the broadcom site.
Today I downgraded from Ubuntu 10.04 to 9.04 because of easy gdm themeing availabe in 9.04. The OS is installed on my external hard disk (320.1 GB).After installing the first problem I noticed was that my wireless card was not getting detected and my Broadcom Ethernet controller was also not being detected.
this is my first post in the forums. I have peppermint os, a variant of Lubuntu 12.0.4, on my laptop.
Ever since installing ubuntu, I faced problems with getting my wireless card to work. The network manager applet would tell me that I was connected with a wireless Port, but I would still be unable to use the internet (Browsers returning "not connected to network").
