I have a Toshiba R100, I just bought a new hard drive, I was planning on dual booting with XP but every time I try to install XP i get the blue screen error. What i really want to do is just have ubuntu. The computer has an external Hard drive and usb floppy drive.
I burned the ISO 11.10 ubuntu to a cd at 4x speed and now i have a 9.10.
I am a new to Ubuntu and linux in general so I am sure it's just a beginner's mistake.
When I turn on my computer and go into the boot menu and select to boot into Ubuntu I get the error message at the bottom. I installed the Ubuntu Desktop 12.04 onto my usb external harddrive and allocated 30gB of space to it. I used the windows installer. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Matt
