i am getting a "No Video Mode Selected" Boot Screen Error Message in AMD 64 Ubuntu 12.04.2 Long Term Support Release To Web on my 2010 Dell Inspiron Zino 400 HD each and every time 12.04.2 Boots Up. The computer has both an AMD Dual Core Processor (Not Sure which one however) and a ATI Radeon 3200 HD Graphics Card).

I try to install ubuntu "12.10" on a laptop with windows 8. The problem is that now can not get into windows (in ubuntu no problem), when I try to get the following error:
error: invalid EFI file path.
I read in the forum about "boot-repair", but generates the message GPT detected. Someone who can help me please.

I can login normally, but when I attempt to unlock the screensaver using my windows credentials I am told that my account is "locked out, contact admin..."

I've lost the root password to my system (or, I've lost all my passwords to the system, and I need a root account for reseting it so I can use sudo). The root account was locked with "passwd -l" so I tried booting into recovery mode, but I later discovered that I needed a password for dropping into root shell.
