I recently got an error while apt-get updating.
Exec format error : package failed to install/remove : installation/removal script returned error exit status 2
This was caused by a broken package, broken by a system crash while updating.
Here are two easy ways to fix it:

Today I was updating one of production server (one of many to test updates and then update the rest of computers).
Soon after run yum update ssh connection was broken :/ . After login once again using screen sesion this time I run yum-complete-transaction but it has problems so I run it with --skip-broken parameter.
when I go to synaptic, I get this error:
You have 1 broken package on your system!
Use the "Broken" filter to locate it.
then I go to Edit>Fix broken Package and I get this error:

i have this problem on linux mint, i already posted it on the LM forums but i didn't get any responses.
i am stuck with the same error every time i want to apt-get install something or install a .deb file.
i have found people with the same issue but the solution didn't work for me.

I have a few HTTP Error 404 messages when I use Yum to update my Fedora.
It seems there's a few mirrors that are obsolete or broken. The problem is that it takes a while for Yum to work out they are broken so slows the process right down.
Is there any way I can clean that up?
