Anyone have problems installing printers?
I cannot install any printer since I get errors about cups.
Hi guys, forst of all sorry if my english is not perfect :D
Im started using ubuntu two months ago, and now im trying to switch my office's pc to ubuntu too.
Everythings works perfectly, the only problem i have is with the printers: i have 4 Epson usb printers, 2 R285 and 2 P50 linked to my pc.
Hello gentlemen, I do not have a problem - I just want some information.
Epson Workforce 545
Ubuntu 12.04.1 server
Cups is configured and the printer is going wireless.
I have a client workstation using Ubuntu 12.04.1 Desktop. I have the printer hooked up and running as a remote printer so I can send jobs from the client. I am just simply wondering this.
I would like to connect multiple printers and send print-files to each of them. I understand that printers are listed as /dev/usb/lp0, /dev/usb/lp1, etc. However, I have noticed that Linux does not list them in any particular order. I do NOT want to use CUPS to get the information for each of my printers.
My 11.2(KDE) machine automatically picks up several remote printers at work, most of which I never ever use.
Is there a simple way to hide some selected printer?
I only want to hide certain specific printer names (or printer IP-addresses), but see all other remote printers. So when I am travelling somewhere else, I want to see all printers that are currently available.
Hi folksIs there anywhere that a list of supported printers by Waldorf can be found ? I ask because I am thinking of upgradeing my printer to a wireless one. My prefered printer type is Epson I have tried searching the forum without any luck but that is more than likely the way I am asking the question
I have a printer setup, which is a bit awkward. The printers are exported by a SMB host using the printer sharing feature. However the shared printers are not seen by my Linux system (gentoo). Using the SMBClient I can list them, but any attempt to install these printers within cups failed.
I also have a Windows system, which is running within a VirtualBox instance.
While upgrading Arch Linux
sudo pacman -Syu
I run into this problem
I noticed that the latest update to cups instructs me to delete *all* my printers and to reconfigure them. This prompts two questions:1) is this necessary even if a printer seems to work? Is it necessary for cups-pdf printer?2) does it matter if the printers are deleted all at once?
