As I assumed the monitor mode for built in wifi card on Samsung Galaxy s2 is not suppported.
So what if I were to connect an external wifi adapter supported on regular pc to SG2 through micro usb converter .
Would it work on the go?
I'm dual clienting windows vista and ubuntu 11.10, and i have it set to where i can choose which i use at startup. Now the problem i'm having is that i use and external usb wireless adapter and i can't figure out how to either install the program that runs it or even make ubuntu find it.
I am relatively new to Linux and have been trying to use Backtrack 5 but it doesnt detect my wireless card so I cant connect to any wireless networks, I am using a Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC wireless card. I was wondering is there anything I can do like download drivers/patches etc. to make my internal wireless card work, or will I have to buy an external USB wifi adapter.
I have a ibm 1u rack server that I was lucky my boss gave me to use as a workstation. However I have many devices, 1 powered sata hd adapter , 1 powered usb hub with keyboard, bluetooth, usb external mode, and a mouse plugged into it, 1 powered external seagate 1tb drive, last item is a 15" usb cable connected to a wifi adapter.
I want to use my external monitor's resolution fully (2560x1440) with a USB display adapter for my laptop.
I am setting up a virtual test lab and I configured a domain controller VM running Windows 2008 R2 on my Hyper-V 2008 R2 server. I needed to download and install updates on it so I added an External NIC adapter and got that done.
Ok so the basic issue here is this: My wireless has not once enabled through many environments.
Wubi install: Enable wireless greyed out
Live cd: greyed out
Partition alongside win7: greyed out.
I installed all software updates, checked additional drivers, installed the latest driver for RTL8111/8168B.
rfkill list shows phy0 and phy1.
Phy0 has a hardblock on. everything else is unblocked.
Has anyone done this or is it even possible? I've tried using the Wifi tether app, Foxfi and Open Garden but no luck at all. I have a Trendnet gaming adapter N wireless. The wifi device does not connect to my phone no matter what I try to do, it shows on the PC setup showing my phone but no luck. Only Open Garden was able to detect it but no data was pass to the adapter.
Hi, I bought a wireless adapter for an upcoming Raspberry Pi and I thought I would try it out on my desktop first. The model is EDUP EP-N8508 and my research shows that it needs an rtl8192 driver.
