Hi all,I've deleted lots of unneeded files off my External HDD, which then appeared in the wastebasket. All but one of these directories disappeared when I emptied the wastebasket, but one folder will not delete out.
I have IMAP Gmail account that uses something like Gmail-IMAP/Trash for Wastebasket but Evolution uses Wastebasket -dir by default. Alert terminology differs: directory is label in Gmail -terminology, anyway now clear enough. So how can I change the Trash -directory in Evolution?

I believe the problem lies in IMAP and different email-clients.

Originally I had issues with my trash folder because often times I would want to batch delete and I would get complaints about the Trash reaching maximum capacity despite nothing being in there. Not sure what to do I deleted the folder from root and now I can't delete anything.
As I understand "deleting a file or folder" basically > moves it into the hidden .Trash folder. Then to empty the trash the command is issued and it is deleted.
Where do i find the trash folder location in my file system?
I am login as a non-root user; have searched in my home directory with "-a" switch with ls command but couldn't find anything related to trash; though could see some hidden files/directories.
On the other hand on the GUI, there is a folder called Trash which has all the files deleted.
I've tried using sudo rm -rf ~/.local/share/Trash/files/ and even going myself as root doing the same, and recreating the folder its still there, it was from a pendrive at one point and I deleted it but now I cant get it to delete permanently.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I'm working on an external USB HDD in Thunar. The /media/MOUNT folder now contains a ".Trash-1000" folder. I removed it with Shift-Del, created a dummy file and deleted it, and the folder re-appeared, so it's definitely created by Thunar. I've done some searching, but I can't find a way to empty the trash from within Thunar. Any ideas?
I get cached disk file in the directory c:\arrCache_media\video. IIS
still got an handle on the file, so i can't rename, delete or re-write
the file. But i can move the file to another folder, so I try this
avenue to solve my problem.
I move my file entcadieux1.wmv.full in another folder a name Trash in
the path c:\Trash.
