When I boot, I always get these messages:

I'm trying to do the same of this question (multiple linux installation on same filesystem) but I get this result (root filesystem mounted as read-only) .
I'm using debian/sid, have successfully modified the initrd /init script and patched the busybox switch_root to chroot into a subdirectory, the filesystem is ext4.
The kernel boot but the filesystem is mounted read-only and any variant of mount
Yet another filesystem question. I wanted to use a USB drive that I hadn't mounted for a month or so and was surprised by the fact Ubuntu was unable to mount it. I looked it up in the disk utility and it said it discovered a device with 17 MB instead of 2 GB.
I am in progress of resizing a LUKS encrypted partition that contains a single ext4 filesystem (no LVM or something). The cryptsetup FAQ recommends to remove the old partition and recreate it, but that sounds like wasting a lot time. Therefore I want to proceeed by manually, carefully resizing the partition.
So far, I think that I need to do:
Unmount the existing ext4 filesystem (e.g.
I have a 2TB Western external HDD.
Its original filesystem was NTFS but I formatted it to EXT4.
I had no problem in Linux; But today after I mounted it using ext2fsd in a windows box, I cant mount it in linux anymore!
The drive had no partition but after that windows mount Disk Utility Shows it has a 1KB partition and 2TB unallocated space!!!

Hi,
when i first installed ubuntu(dual boot win 7), i partitioned it to /boot / and /home.
After installing ubuntu for a few months, one of my filesystem /dev/sda7 which is mounted on / is running out of space.
hi everybody,
I have an error when trying to mount my LaCie network kdisque at boot.
it seems to me that mount is coming too early during the boot process when network is not established.

Hello!
I am in a weird problem of not able to set quota on an ext4 file system. I have setup a logical volume on which this ext4 filesystem resides. It's going to be used by an application for dumping data. But we want to setup quota so that it does not consume all the free space of the lv. The application will generate an error log if the quota limit is crossed.
