Hey All,
Was wondering if someone could shed some light onto something I am working on.
Hi,
Please help - my LTSP automation system is having problems at work!
I have had an LTSP server running Ubuntu 10.04 for over a year now at work and have never had a boot problem (We have had HP thin clients - LTSP always just seemed to work for them).
Hello,
I had a system crash when trying to get fat clients to work in our LTSP lab and, so, had to reinstall everything today. I was moving along quite well when I noticed none of the clients will display the launcher.
I am Googling away but can't find anything.
Please help!
I'm running edubuntu 12.04 with the gnome desktop.
Hi
is it possible to install edubuntu whit ltsp on an server whit 1 nic ?
and already an dhcp server on the network ?
I wanted to figure out what are the minimum hardware requirements for running 8 smooth thin clients with Ubuntu and LTSP. The thin clients need to be able to run a web browser to access a webapp (apache, mysql and django) hosted locally in the same server.
How much RAM do i need? cpu?
Any suggestions will be appreciated!
Thanks!
hi all,
I am trying to get an LTSP server installed and working.
i have done the following :
installed ubunty 12.04 desktop 32 bit on a computer.
installed LTSP server
created 32 bit image for thin clients
now when i boot a thin client, it connects to the server and then gets the image file.
however, after i log in , i get only the linux background.
Hi
Sorry if here isn't right place for asking this question
I have a ltsp server ( edubuntu 12.04 ) it was working fine. With any try for connecting to
server, client received next ip address ( means first time 192.168.0.2 and next time
same client 192.168.0.3 ). suddenly on 192.168.0.6 I got pxe-e11 error in connecting.
Nothing changed in my network.
We want to use a thin client solution in our small company: about 20 PCs. But connecting from home is needed, too.
Ubuntu seems to favor LTSP, but on the x2go FAQ says that LTSP is not well suited for WAN connections:
LTSP requires a high bandwidth on your network.
Hi,
I have set up a classroom with 30 thin clients. I have about 150 users whose accounts have been created using Webmin for convenience.
Each of these users is a member of the student group, which was done so that a restricted specific menu is displayed when a student logs in.
