Hey All,
Was wondering if someone could shed some light onto something I am working on.
I am using Edubuntu LTSP for 5 sites in Guinea. I need to set up a LAN with an Edubuntu LTSP Server connected to 6 work stations on Thin Clients. (TC) These TC need to be able to write to and read from the server simultaneously as well as save data. Can this be done? Please advise with detailed step by step instructions I am new to Linux. Command line entries are daunting.

I downloaded the Ubuntu 11.10 64-bit alternative CD and pressed F4 at the beginning of the install to setup an LTSP server. During installation I saw a screen saying it was installing LTSP.

We want to use a thin client solution in our small company: about 20 PCs. But connecting from home is needed, too.
Ubuntu seems to favor LTSP, but on the x2go FAQ says that LTSP is not well suited for WAN connections:
LTSP requires a high bandwidth on your network.
Fresh Edubuntu 12.04 install
all updates completed
school network of 20 PCs
Ethernet cable network with Internet connection working fine.
Hi
is it possible to install edubuntu whit ltsp on an server whit 1 nic ?
and already an dhcp server on the network ?
I used to access all my Windows XP shared files on my Mac using Finder --> Window --> Connect to server.
Now all of a sudden, an error crops up when I try to connect.
I get the error
"There was a problem connecting to the server "192.168.1.*"
The server may not exist or it is unavailable at this time.
