Has anyone had a problem with their SGP screen getting stuck sideways? If so, how'd you fix it? The problem just happened out of nowhere (and reinstalling the ROM (ICS Crumble) did nothing (neither did wiping data and cache).
It just gets stuck on the first screen (the one that tells me if there is enough disc space, if the power is on, and if there is Internet connection), and doesn't go forward (if it doesn't get stuck on that screen, it freezes on the next one, the one to choose an AP).
The computer is a Compaq Presario C700 with ubuntu 12.04 LTS installed.
Hi everyone .
I'm using ubuntu 12.04 LTS .
The screen lock doesn't work , whenever I click on lock screen my screen freezes and turns to white , but the mouse keep moving, the same thing occurs when I click suspend .
It is set to lock screen on suspend .
so how can I fix this problem.
Thanks in advance .
I have been using Ubuntu 12.04 for a few months now, but have now come across a problem that I can't get past.
I am stuck at the log on screen: I enter my password but a black screen flashes up and the log on prompt reappears.
I tried using the terminal and I actually have managed to login- but not using the main log on screen. I can't get my desktop active as the log on prompt is there.
I recently upgraded to Fedora 18..I'm using gnome.. If I lock the screen, I cannot unlock it easily..
That is, I enter my password, click login.. The login button gets grayed out, and nothing.. It just waits.
See attached photo: This is what happens after I click login..
Update: I found a weird work-around: I clicked suspend on that login screen. Nothing happened..
The only way I can get my computer to suspend is with the following command. (This thread is how I got that far)
Code:
sudo s2ram -f -m
But that doesn't lock my screen before suspend. So I thought I'd put together a little script to run all commands at once so I can lock my screen and then suspend in one motion.
...i bought this phone from a friend who bought it from a friend who bought it from a friend and so on, and the reason it keeps being resold is, it had a pattern lock on the screen that noone could get through.
Hi all,
I was wondering whether anyone else has experienced these strange issues with the lock screen.
1. When I press the lock (sleep) button on the side of the phone, the screen turns off, but often when I put the phone down straight afterwards it comes back on by itself. There are no notifications, messages, battery alerts etc either, it just unlocks and sits on the home screen.
Hi all - newb here, first post. I just picked up a pair of Nextbook Next7P tablets off eBay, cheap. One is stuck in a bootloop at the poining finger screen. It doesn't get past this screen, and when the spinning logo stops, then it just starts again, and just keeps repeating this action.
