hi there!,
im having some problems with my dual monitor setup and was wondering if i could get some help?
Hello
I have a dual monitor resolution question.
I have a Geforce gt640 video card hooked to two acer p221w monitors using dvi cables. When I go into system settings/displays, one monitor is labelled correctly and the other is labelled unknown . Also, the one labelled correctly has a resolution of 1280X1024 which is fine, but the unknown one has a resolution of 800x600. This is not ok.
Hello my dear #!ers))I am using two monitors and at one stage I got annoyed with two thingsFirst - every time I plug or unplug the second monitor I have to change xrandr settings.
Hi,
Apologies if this is somehow covered elsewhere. I've done a good bit of searching to no avail.
I'm running 2 monitors from a fresh install of F17 on my Dell Latitude D410.
Monitor 1: the laptop's LCD screen - detected, all fine and dandy.
Monitor 2: an external flatscreen monitor.
I have ubuntu 12.04 on my laptop, and I have an external monitor connected to my system.
I have enabled the second monitor from the "Displays..." menu (btw, is there a way to make external monitors enabled by default?
So, my problem is that when I turn on my laptop and it starts booting Ubuntu, the monitor goes on and off a few times.
When it reaches the state where the system is loaded and should start working, the monitor on my laptop is black, nothing on it, not sure if it's turned on even.
After that, I plug in an external monitor, and my laptop monitor starts working.
I'm currently using a Laptop running Ubuntu 12.04. When I'm at work I plug in a monitor, mouse and keyboard. Then I close my laptops screen and use it as a normal pc. Everytime I plug it in and plug it out, I have to change my system settings, because normally my laptop would suspend to RAM, when I close its screen.
This is not specifically Arch related, but maybe someone can help me with this anyway...My problem is that when I boot up with both monitors plugged in, the BIOS uses the VGA one as primary, then in any OS I can't detect the second monitor hanging on the DVI port in any way, it seems that its like "invisible", like it hasn't been activated by the BIOS or something...When I boot
I'm having trouble finding the right settings for having a decent multi monitor support when i'm connecting extra displays or projector to my laptop with an ATI card.
The option Monitor in the list under the gear in the top right corner seems to be really buggy, simply doesn't work, if i had to use the ATI AMDCCCLE control panel i have to reboot at least 2 times and i got to be lucky to avoid err
