Dual monitor setup on laptop: one for graphics, one for reading

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I've been using GNU/Linux for about 15 years non-stop at home, and finally found a question I cannot answer. On a laptop I have an external monitor and can easily move screen locations relative to the laptop with arandr or xrandr. For now I'm forced into those two programs as I'm using Xfce, but this is a choice not a fallback for my feeble mind. Question: I'd like to dedicate one monitor for reading, such as websites, news, and other such text. The other I would use for graphics and videos, and graphics editing. What I don't know how to do is direct (at will, or pre-determined) graphics or t (HowTos)
