Hi guys,
I have a dual-boot machine, with Vista and Fedora 11, which is working great. I use GRUB as the boot manager, as Fedora was installed after Vista. So far, so good..
I had Fedora 15 on a computer, dual booted with Windows 7. I did a fresh install of Fedora 17, but in the process I seem to have wiped out its capability to boot Windows 7, which I'm pretty sure is still on the disk.
My plan is to install grub on the /boot partition of the new Fedora 17 and then fix the MBR to boot Windows and use Easy BCD under Windows to dual boot.
I just got an HP Envy dv7 series laptop which came with Windows 8. I used Windows tools to remove the recovery drive and shrink the main windows partition to make room for Fedora 18. The installation process for Fedora went reasonably smoothly and I now have a system with a working Fedora and Windows 8 both booting with Secure Boot enabled.
Hi
I got an acer aspire 4310 with vista pre installed.
I installed fedora 10 on the D:/ drive by setting the D:// drive as free space within vista and then installed fedora 10. So now I have dual boot vista and fedora using grub.
How can I delete vista and install Fedora 12 on that C:// partition and be able to keep and boot my fedora 10.
Hello everybodyI would like to triple boot Arch Linux with Fedora 15 and Windows Vista, but I have some problems with my boot sectors. My MBR broke some months ago and now I have Windows Vista boot loader on MBR (I think, I'm not sure where it is exactly installed, it was done automatically) and Fedora 15 is on "First sector of boot partition".
Hi everyone! First of all, sorry for my English. I got this problem and I hope you can help me :)
Hi

I have winXP in harddisk 1
I want to install fedora on harddisk 2
I go through the installation of fedora 12 from DVD. but at the end when system reboots I do not get the dual boot menu. and laptop boots directly to windows.
I have been trying to set up a dual boot ubuntu for a couple of days with no luck.
With a clean machine, installing Windows 7 and then Ubuntu 11.10, on reboot, I do not get a grub menu, instead it goes straight into Windows.
I tried installing Fedora 16 which worked as expected (Grub menu with Windows and Fedora options).
Formatting the Fedora partition and re-installing Ubuntu over it gi
I did a fresh intall of Fedora17 64bit on a dual boot system with vista. The installation was fine. Grub boot menu takes unusally long time to showup. Re installed Fedora 16 64 bit, the grub bootmenu showed up fast.
Probalby grub2 is the culprit after the installation of Fedora17. So tried upgrade from Fedora 16 to 17 without boot configuration update option during the installation.
