Dual Boot Linux and Linux

http://www.linuxquestions.org – I have been using Kubuntu for over a year now, but looking for a change due to an unexplained decrease in performance over time. Despite the performance issue, Kubuntu functions for minimal tasks like broswing and email and is stable. I currently run /boot as a seperate partion on my SSD. My concerns is minimal maintence on the kernel side. Would it be better to provide 2 seperate boot partitions, one for Kubuntu and one for Chakra, or a single /boot partion. Part of my concern is that Kubuntu runs out of the box with no tweaks to grub, where as Chakra requires the nomodtest parimter to be pas (HowTos)
