Hello,
I have a problem with booting my fedora 17 from a stick.
I'm using Win 7 with liveusb-creator to write Fedora-17-x86_64-Live-KDE.iso.
Hi,
I am using Fedora 16 32+ bit distro and I am getting this error when I try to boot Fedora.
I've begun having a problem booting F17. I get "dracut warning: unable to process initqueue" and then "dracut warning: /dev/disk-by-uuid .... does not exist". I'm then dropped into a dracut debug shell.
The PC has a single HDD, no RAID or LVM. The HDD has multiple partitions. The PC is dual-boot: F17 and Ubuntu 12.04.
I upgraded my F16 to F17 using the network install CD.
I had some problems during the yum installation phase and had to restart in rescue mode to clean up yum then rerun the upgrade process to get it to complete.
However on first boot I get the dracut warning and I drop out into a dracut# prompt.
dracut Warning: Unable to process initiqueue
dracut Warning: /dev/mapper/vg_walden6-lv_root

Some time ago I installed Fedora 17 on some hard drive. After clicking through the installer with encryption enabled I realised it put the swap partition on another hard drive. This other hard drive no longer exists.
I am using fedora 17(64 bit). It was working fine.
today I changed some bios setting.
I disabled AMD K8 Cool 'n' Quiet.
After that when I booted it, it showed an error after boot saying
"
Firmware Bug: powernow-k8: No compatible ACPI _PSS objects found
Firmware Bug: powernow-k8: Try with latest bios."
"
and droped me to dracut shell.
After that I revert back the bios setting.
I have installed Fedora 17 to an iSCSI target by:
Booting with the Fedora 17 ISO
Chose LiveCD so I could install iscsi-initiator-utils
Started the installer
Chose iSCSI target from native Fedora installer
Installed as normal
Using iPXE (gpxe/etherboot fork) to boot with sanboot iscsi:HOSTIP::::TARGET:LUN, but Fedora bombs after about 10 seconds with the following errors:
Cannot open font file
Relative newb.
When switching on it fails and goes to this screen
Code:
_Fedora-17-x86_6: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY
(ie without -a or -p options)
dracut warning: e2fsck returned with 4
dracut warning: _Fedora-17-x86_6 contains a file systen with errors, check forced
dracut warning: _Fedora-17-x86_6: inodes that were part of a corrupted orphan linked list found.
