Is it possible to make android dropbox automatically download changes to a single folder, the way that the desktop version of dropbox does for the entire dropbox folder?
Dropbox is a popular free software that sync files between your desktop pc and laptop. When you installed Dropbox and set the Dropbox folder. All files/subdirectories from the folder are two-way synced to Dropbox server and can be downloaded/synced in another machine with Dropbox Client installed.
I'm trying to set up backup using Dropbox on my server. I got Dropbox installed and it works great. It's currently syncing the whole account and I don't want that. I figured there's an exclude option - but it's not good for me. I'd have to exclude a folder manually every time I create a new irrelevant folder for this specific device (linux server).
I've dropbox v1.4.17 installed and I want to change the path from (...)/Dropbox to (...)/dropbox.
I think until v1.2 this was done by changing dropbox_path field in the sqlite file ~/.dropbox/config.db. Now, this field is hidden inside the encrypted ~/.dropbox/config.dbx (security reasons , I guess).
Today a new stable Dropbox release (1.0.10) arrived. Some nice features and tons of bug fixes were introduced. The update is fairly easy:1. Stop Dropbox (right click on systray icon)2. Rename your /username/.dropbox-dist directory for backup reasons3.
