I was able to get an unlock code for my Droid 2 Global and then inserted an At&t gophone sim card. I tried making a call and I got a verizon robot. It is switched to GSM. What more do I need to do?
How do I get my Droid 2 global to recognize the Straight Talk GSM network - I put in unlock code from original carrier Verizon and it will recognize the SIM card from Straight Talk but displays NO Service or can't find any GSM/UMTS networks. What can I do to get it to work properly on the GSM network?
I am at&t now but still have old Droid Razr HD that I used on Verizon before. I know it has snapdragon S4 chip that supports standard GSM bands and today's Verizon phones are unlocked global phone. So you should be able to swap SIM for GSM carrier when traveling abroad.
So I tried to activate it for my daughter on Cricket but it didn't work.
Earlier this week we told you that the white Droid Ultra would likely be coming to Verizon very soon to join the previously leaked white Droid Mini. Now we’re here to tell you that starting today, you can get your hands on these new colors.
I have a Droid Mini bought in America with Verizon that I'd like to be able to use in France. It's supposedly one of their "Global Ready" phones, so using it here should be as simple as getting a new SIM card, I'd heard.
I have an droid ultra from verizon and i suspend my line cus bills was too high and my question is if this droid ultra is unlocked to be activate it to any company like straight talk, att prepaid or i have to pay someone to unlock my droid help me please..
Later this month Verizon is slated to start delivery of the DROID MAXX and DROID ULTRA, with the DROID MINI following later, as part of their big push to capitalize on the DROID brand. In an interesting twist, the new Motorola Moto X is slated to hit the market that same week if Verizon can keep things on schedule.
I have a rooted and unlocked (for global usage only) Droid 3 (xt862) with Cyanogenmod 9 on Verizon that I would like to use on another carrier in the U.S. The unlock code Verizon gave me only unlocked the phone for use outside the U.S., and I understand that the radio firmware needs to be flashed in order to unlock the phone for domestic U.S.
