I heard people saying downgrading would result
Hi guys,
I had stock 2.3 rom on my HTC Desire and I wanted to downgrade to stock 2.2. In order to do that I had to S-OFF my device and change the HBOOT version. I followed the instructions by alpharev.nl, but something went wrong.
Currently I can't get into recovery mode in order to install any ROM.
With all this OTA talk, I've been getting many questions about accepting and OTA while stock rooted.
IF you are stock rooted, you can't get an OTA update because you most likely have a custom recovery installed (Clockworkmod).
To accept this OTA, you will need to install the STOCK recovery.
can any1 help me with this...
i updated my stock rom from froyo to gb via LG updater.
is there anyway i can downgrade it to my original stock rom of froyo..
Hello I am currently only able to access bootloader, and recovery, but I am unable to mount my sd in recovery and I also can not even boot my device I just get a black screen.
What I was thinking was to flash stock recovery image or something of the sorts but I cant find a stock recovery image
any suggestions to lead me into the right direction would be greatly appreciated thank you
I was attempting to downgrade and move back to complete stock (Rom, Recovery, S-On, all that)
and after flashing the stock recovery (i think) and rebooting, I lost all service connectivity.
Hey all, I've come here to ask these basic questions...since this is the place where gurus come.
I'm currently in possession of an a500 running stock 3.2 however I can not update it or even use the google play store to download apps as the a500 is no long supported. Are there any work arounds to get the play store to work on a stock rom (and how could I update it to ICS)?
It all started yesterday when I was using my GT-P7500 (Rooted and Running Slimbean 4.1.2 ROM), I left it alone and I got some rest. After a few minutes it powered off unexpectedly.
There was a time I was good at this. All I can do now is just trip my flash counter or brick my devices.
Download the file.
Unzip
Set the device in download mode (yes, my drivers work)
Run odin
Point the PDA to the tar file.
Flash. The thing reboots, odin says pass!
Try to boot into recovery and only get the stock recovery.
I have done this several times now. And same thing.
