I am new to the KDE.I find that dolphin does not display the content of my audio CD, but I manage to use VLC to play the songs on that CD. k3b can also access to the songs on it. However, dolphin works fine with my other data CDs and DVDs.Would you mind to shed some light on my problem? Thanks.

I'm talking about a small bar that shows disk usage when hover over the Device section of dolphin on the left-hand side.I'm not quit sure when this property disapear.I can see it in some "open file" dialog of qt/kde apps. How do I get it back at Dolphin
OS 11.2x86_64, KDE 4.3.1 desktop.
The Dolphin file manager crashes on me randomly. It does not seem to be connected to any particular operation, but just "goes away" with no warning & nothing in the system logs. Starting Dolphin in a terminal window gives nothing upon crashing, just the prompt comes back (so far, anyway.)
psathiya1987 wrote:1) When I download *.zip, *.rar files, . I can view them via terminal but those files are not viewable(hidden) in the dolphin file manager. Even when I enable the hidden files option, cannot see them. I close the file manager and reopen the folder again, no luck. The only way I see the files is move the files to another folder through terminal. Then I can see them.
Dolphin MINI.....not regular Dolphin....not Dolphin HD.....Dolphin Mini. It is what i have always used on my phone and I just got my TP and it works wonderfully....fastand with true iPad smooth scrolling. Give it a try. Now I have to figure out a decent keyboard....
Having some problems with extremely high cpu usage from smplayer which seems to be caused by dolphin.
If I enter a directory in Dolphin that has only one video file and open that - system monitor shows two instances of mplayer (which I think is normal).
Hi everyone. I've got an ipod which I haven't used with my opensuse computer for a while, but recently tried to get it connected again. When I plug in the ipod, two devices show in Dolphin's "places" or in the KDE device notifier (in the plasma panel). One has the "name" I typed in when I set up the ipod with itunes, the other is labeled "iPod".
Scimmia wrote:I just extracted the binary package to look at the png.As far as tracking down the problem, I don't know of an easy way to see what all is being opened by dolphin-emu. You could always start with "sudo find / -name '*.png' -exec identify {} 1> /dev/null \;" Have fun with that, though.
This is a problem that I've been having for a while.
Example:
I download flashplayer 10.1 beta from Adobe's website, use "Open With", select Ark and extract the install_flash_plugin folder to my /home/matt/Other directory. Perfect.
