I recently upgraded from 11.10 Oneiric to 12.04.3 Precise and find that when I connect to the machine over VNC (UltraVNC on Win 7) I cannot make the Unity Launcher unhide (using the mouse). Previously it was a little fiddly but would work eventually; now it doesnt work at all. Neither does UltraVNCs Send Ctrl+Esc button Id expect this to open the Dash.
I try to use clipboard in vnc clients found in fedora repository but none support it ( or its not enabled by default ).
When I run UltraVnc under WINE, clipboard work fine.
Is there any vncclient for linux that support clipboard?
Hello I have ultraVNC installed on a pc. I don't know if someone is spying or monitoring the computer so I have decided to close it and turned on the firewall and set it to Block all incoming connections, including in the list of allowed programs. Both Home or work (private) and Public network location settings.
I've got an Ubuntu 11.10 vm guest running on xen cloud platform. I've configured ssh and installed x11vnc. I use ssh forwarding to connect tight vnc to the guest. I currently use the command -safer -localhost -nopw -once - display :0 to prepare the guest and then connect with tight vnc.
I attempted to compile git version. Thanks for the info I will try that. Ultravnc gives very distorted image but it works fine with xen. I tried tightvnc for windows as client and that image looked perfect.
