I followed the following tutorial to compile Linux kernel source code in Fedora 20 Desktop edition. I just followed it up till this command "sudo make modules_install install" and rebooted the system as per instructions.
On a blog about Scientific Linux, I read that one could compile Red Hat from source RPMs, as alternative to downloading an ISO with a trial period.
I am not new to compiling RPM's but for this one I'll need a tad more detailed howto and/or few general pointers.
How to proceed downloading source RPMs of RH?

In Fedora 11, we could use from:
System -> Administrators -> Software Source
for enable or disable repositories, by Check boxes. For example we disable rawhide or testing repositories!
But in fedora 12 I don't see it in System -> Administrators -> Software Source!! :confused:

Hi, I'm wondering what is the best way to sift through a source code hierarchy?
I have little programming experience at all, except for a little Pascal, TurboC and some scripting. I do know Vi basics and would be willing to expand my knowledge of that, but I don't know what my options are.
