I currently have a spare PC that has all working parts except a motherboard. It currently has Q6600 CPU/6GB RAM/AMD 5800 series videocard and I wanted to look into a replacement motherboard. I don't plan on overclocking, but would like some flexibility on doing Crossfire/SLI in the future. It's not a must have or a deal breaker feature, just a plus.
Is there ever going to be open source crossfire support? I see it as "to do" on the site, but is there any reason AMD devs haven't helped on this? I'm getting tired of not having crossfire support because of flaws with the fglrx drivers.
So crossfire is recognized in GPU-Z, CCC, Afterburner, etc. etc. However ever since i switched to the Haswell system it doesn't show when i'm playing games. I'm just wondering if the icon is not there that it means that Crossfire isn't working in the game. I'm only curious because although all the games i have are pretty much maxed out on my hdtv...i can't tell if i'm getting an FPS gain or not.
