So I'm trying to resolve this issue for most of today... What ever device/resolution/anything I choose it's displayed incorrectly, and looks like styles aren't loading...
Missing styles.
I want to use Clearlooks window theme in XFCE like in Gnome, so I chose Clearlooks-Phenix, but the option to customize the button layout (close, maximize, minimize) is grayed-out.
I edited index.theme, but it doesn't help.
How to move the buttons to the left? I want it to be like close, maximize, minimize, title in the middle, always on top, shade, menu icon
I decompiled the theme, edited styles.xml
And recompiled. But got error.
Can anybody compile it. I have attached apk,styles.xml,log.http://db.tt/w9e9YaYd

I made a simple crunchbang slim theme :)I have seen something similar somewhere on the net, but I don't remeber where so I made my own..
I have a few apps (such as Aisleriot) that are GNOME based, therefore they use the gnome defaults (which is some light theme), but I use xfce4 with compiz. My xfce theme is a dark one (atolm to be exact). How do I make the theme for these GNOME applications the same as my xfce4 theme? I already tried starting in gnome, setting the theme then switching back, this doesn't fix the problem.
Anyone know what dpi i have to set my Ace at to allow custom themes please as I cant apply any themes to the AKOP M6ROM I flashed recently. Its a CM10 based theme

This theme was improperly compiled and cannot be applied.
I want to use a custom theme for Nautilus and for some other applications but i want to keep the generic theme for the rest of the applications and system. I know it can be done in gtk2. For example the theme I'm using uses a dark theme for the terminal and the image viewer and the rest of application still looks clear.

In that case you need to set theme name with this command:gconftool-2 --set --type string /desktop/gnome/interface/gtk_theme your-theme-nameChange "your-theme-name" with your theme name I had the same issue with Cinnamon 1.6 and VirtualBox which uses QT.
I run oneiric with fluxbox as the window manager, and gnome-terminal appears to disregard gtk theme. The theme support does work in other gtk applications (for example, in gthumb and in firefox), but changing the theme makes no difference for gnome-terminal. I have oneiric, and I use lxappearance to change the theme. Am I wrong in assuming that gnome-terminal is a gtk application?
