I'm using Ubuntu 12.10 with cinnamon 1.6.7 and libreoffice 3.6.4.3.
When launching a program of the suite in some reproducible cases no icon or the wrong icon is displayed in the taskbar.
Examples:
Running a .doc document with writer the icon of impress is displayed.
Running a .xls document with calc the icon of writer is displayed.
Sometimes there is also no icon at all.
Any help is appreciated
I apologize if this is the wrong forum or a repost. I'm having a problem with the Unity launcher that seems to be specific to LibreOffice. I don't have LibreOffice "locked" to my launcher, because I prefer to use LaTex. However, several papers I'm collaborating on require me to use LibreOffice.
As the opensuse icon of kmenu doesn't match my color scheme, I want to change the icon. I now this can be done by right clicking the icon go to properties, but this is just a temporary fix. Whenever I switch between kickoff and kmenu, the opensuse icon is back...
With kde 4.3.3 I managed to fix it by replacing the icons:

I note that I have both Waste Bin and Trash icons on the desktop. Also an Open Office icon and a ? icon which also is for Open Office.
What is going on? Which icon is correct one and can I/should I delete the unwanted icon?

Hi folks, this is the first thread I open in this forum. I was just wondering if there's a simple way to change the icon set, beyond installing a bunch like faenza for instance, which would mainly change things in the file explorer, the chrome icon and nothing more. What I want is to try to give the system a whole look with a good icon set (terminal, browsers, files, systray, etc.).
My LibreOffice icons for the individual apps are fine, they look great in both the launcher and the switcher. Yet, if I open the apps from the main LibreOffice program or if I open the document that I want to edit (And it opens its own "icon" as it always does), the icon is incredibly blurry.
Sorry guys if its a repost.
I am new to Ubuntu, using Ubuntu 12.04. What happened is that i right clicked the trash icon, clicked the icon and changed it to some icon i downloaded from internet. After changing it, i realized that i does not work properly. I since yday, i have been trying to change it back to the default icon. I deleted the downloaded icon and now it shows just a white icon.
Hello there!i think i cant really help you, because i have the same problem with some of my apps and it seem nearly impossible to find out where the icon tint uses is comming from.I wanted to change several icons showed in the taskbar and sometimes it was helpful to change the icon inside the .desktop-file, sometimes i replaced the icons in the icon folder of /usr/share/applications/DESIEREDAPP an
