I performed a new ubuntu 12.04 LTS installation in a HP NX7400 with a docking station (EN488AA). When I start the computer, I have to unplug the laptop from the docking station to see the screen and logon.
I have a Galaxy S3 and brought the docking station with my phone at the same time.
Originally I was able to change the icons on the docking screen when the phone was docked, the screen that shows the weather, calender, time etc, not the phones lock screen.
I changed email apps from the default email one to Outlook so want to remove the email icon from the docking screen and replace it with
Does anyone know where i can purchase an HTC Desire S screen connector for LCD and Digitizer. The pins on my female connector have bent and cant find anywhere that sells screen connectors for HTC Desire S.

Apparently a new reversible USB connector is in the works and should be approved in 1st half or middle of next year. So the earliest we may see devices using the new connector is late 2014 or early 2015.
My Nexus 7 tablet's micro USB connector is mangled and doesn't always work because my daughter always forces the USB connector in incorrectly.
I have got Lenovo Thinkpad w540 and running Mint 16. When I dock the laptop into the docking station, everything freezes. I have to undock and wait until the login window is loaded. How should I go along about finding out what is wrong?
What I found out so far was the following. I ran the xrandr command before and after docking and there are differences.
So today, I bought the Note 3. I am a convert from IOS. Well sort of, I had a Galaxy S3 and I am hoping for better battery life. At any rate, when I looked at the bottom of the device, I noticed a different connector which appears to be a Super USB connector. Can I still use a Micro or Mini USB connector to charge it or do I need the new connector? I have a boat load of the old ones.
I'm using a Thinkpad T420s on Ubuntu 11.10 / gnome 3, which I usually put in the corresponding docking station.
The problem is that the docked device is unable to discover the second display if connected through the docking station's DVI port. No problem if connected directly, and no problem if I use the VGA port.
So I've had an issue with my galaxy note 10.1 for about three days now that I keep getting popups saying that a usb connector is connected or (since today) that a high-power usb device is connected, even though I haven't plugged anything in. This doesn't really bother me that much, but the big issue is that this makes the screen turn on all the time, at seemingly random moments.
