I have a lot of zones defined in my dns server. I need to delegate one particular zone to a foreign dns server and I don't have access to my domain-registrar control panel, currently.
Is there a way in bind to delegate the resolution of a whole zone to another dns server.
I want to configure bind on our caching dns to resolve bla.mydomain.com to 192.168.115.13 (an internal host) while still forwarding all other requests to our internet provider's name servers.
This should only work from our intranet, the box is not meant for external access.
I got the first part working by creating a master zone for mydomain.com and adding an address entry for bla:
I am setting up a new infrastructure which led me to install BIND in a non active directory (new) enviroment.
With that stated I dont have any .com nor any domain setup so im unable to dig my network domain; Im only operating via workgroup.
Is it still possible to setup BIND dns even though I dont have a domain (i.e. csaa.com, csaa.net...etc) setup?
