I got dell Inspiron 1440 ,unfortunately It has Windows 7 only. I'll be installing Linux on it.Any one tried installing Linux on this laptop, got any advise or warnings (such as ,drivers might be missing ) for me?
Hey guys, I'm from Argentina and I met a few days ago and I love this distro, I use Linux since 2004 and I would love to install #! but I have the following problems. Of course I have a Dell Inspiron 1440 Notebook, 3GB of RAM and a 500gb hard drive with W7 and I use it for work. And I love to use both systems on my computer.Try to install #! via USB but I could not do it.
I have an old Dell Inspiron 630m with Windows XP and I want to put some Linux distro on it. I have tried Ubuntu 12 but it did not work (nothing happend). Downloading older versions is slow. I am not a nerd (only wanabe) so I'm afraid of installations that are more complicated than Ubuntu.
I reinstalled windows 7 Home Premium on a Dell Inspiron N5040 and now have no drivers. Naturally, I went to dell's site to get them. I installed the chipset, rebooted, and tried installing the wireless and the graphics drivers. They install but nothing happens. By that, I mean my screen is still large and I still have no network adapter.
Hi, I'm attracted by the newly released Dell Inspiron (17inch) 7000:
and plan to buy one, and I wish to install Ubuntu 12.04LTS on the laptop. Is there anyone who already has experience of installing Ubuntu 12.04 on this type of laptop? If yes, could you please share the experience with us?
