apparently the Window Manager (Compiz in my case) handles the drop shadow you see under all Xlib windows in Ubuntu, so communicating to the X Window system won't affect the default shadow generated on a window that I have created in my code.
So i coded a popup window with xlib.
Simply a window with override set to true, so window manager wont give my window any borders. (my reasson to do so)
I namely want a custom window design, thats why.
The problem is: im reasonable new to xlib, and I havent got the faintest idea of how to work further.
I have made one application using Xlib and loading a jpeg stream video in the x_window.
The application is working fine but I am seeing one issue that whenever i restart the application, it firstly shows the old image where I have stopped the application and then only it moves and start the main application.
I am not seeing anywhere how it is storing that image.
Greetings community, I installed Ubuntu Studio 12.10 Quantal Quetzal on a laptop, I have tried to activate 3D acceleration effects but do not work, I have searched documentation, existing forums, etc.. and have not found a solution to it.
