I have:
Openfiler SAN
ML370 G5
Smart Array 6400
slot 1
Array B
Logical Drive 2 is a RAID5 array of 6 x 148GB 10k hot plug drives making 680GB
no spare
Last Friday, the power went out, this machine was just plugged in to the wall and it went down hard. When it came back up, drive 1 and 4 of 0-5 drive changed to red flashing Fault light.
Consolidated Error Report:
Controller: Smart Array P400 in slot 3
Device: Physical Drive 1I:1:1
Message: Predictive failure.
We have an HP DL380 G5 server with two 72GB 15k SAS drives configured in RAID1. A couple weeks ago, the server reported a drive failure on Drive 1. We replaced the drive with a brand new HDD -- same spares number.

I'm looking to reduce my carbon footprint and want to find a green datacenter.
I'd like to host my servers at a "Green" datacenter with a very low carbon footprint.
Where can I locate one in the US?

I am using Ubuntu 10.04. I am having a problem with my HDD, it is showing "DISK FAILURE IS IMMINENT". Can i do anything about it?

Today, having nothing better to do, I disassembled the housing and removed the hard disk. Then I got my handy 5 in 1 adapter kit (external) and plugged the disk into a USB port. It mounted!
Hello
This morning we encountered a failure in our Raid-5 array and the server won't boot. Our datacenter told us the array and the disks need to be replaced as they are damaged.
I'm looking for someone who can help me to get some backups out from this server.
In the starting rsh worked properly, but after making some changes it shows some error [changes are shown in the end of this question, see that], I am sharing the same.
Command
