Hi all,
I had some troubles with installing Black Mesa with wine. Here what i've done to make game run properly. All I'll write you can find in web, but not in the one place. So firstly I'd like to thank all good people sharing their knowledge publicly. I'm sorry if all of those is easy, and I'm only retarded in here.

Bethesda has released new gameplay footage from the soon to be released Dishonored. In ‘Creative Kills’ the video showcases just a few of the ways that you can eliminate
I have my left screen set as primary screen in ubuntu (unity) and most things just do what they are supposed to do when they are fullscreen. They run on my primary screen.
But for some reason when I launch civ 5 from steam (using wine, not the new beta) it fullscreens to my second (smaller) screen.
How can I make this game appear fullscreen on my primarry screen?
OpenSuse 11.3 with nVidia drivers.
I have the screen working fine though it only runs in 1600x1200@75 using the nVidia driver (GTX260 card).
When I play a game in full screen mode all seems OK but when I exit the game then I just get the mouse pointer on a black screen.
I am new to Linux and was hoping someone can help me get Shogun 2 up and running in Steam which was downloaded via PlayonLinux. Currently, the game installs and shows a license screen briefly before it shuts down with no error message.
I run a wined version of steam (mostly because most of my steam games aren't avaible on the steam beta yet) and I had problems in the past with this black screen/dim screen but I fixed it, the problem is that whenever I try to run a game in full screen mode, the screen goes extremly dark again [can still hear sounds and see a few bright parts, especially with a lamp turned on].
Here's an interesting one: I recently bought a new monitor capable of a 1920 x 1080 resolution. No problems there. Ubuntu detects it and my video card (nVidia GT640) perfectly. I can load up the proprietary drivers fine. In fact, all is running well.
I've installed Wine 1.4 on Ubuntu 12.04. I downloaded Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The uploader repacked it so that its an .exe application instead of an installed program. When I double click on the .exe, the screen narrows and starts flashing black and white. When the game finally loads, the menus are black and white and show nothing but a black box as the cursor. What's the problem?

Big influences indeed, but Dishonored manages to be its own beast, at times disquieting, at others tense or frustrating but overall very satisfying.
