Hi All,
I have MythBuntu 12.04.1 and Linux 3.2.0-38.
Going to Applications>System>Mythbuntu Control Centre>Backup and Restore> Getting Started>Backup>Backup Now>Directory: offers the choice of BU destination.
Would it be possible to root using this method:
1.) Make a backup using "adb backup"
2.) Decrypt the backup you just made (make a copy before this if you want)
3.) Add required root files
4.) Re-encrypt the modified backup
5.) Restore the backup using "adb restore"
6.) Have root?
Thanks for looking at this and answering.
Thanks,
Magnetboard
Hi there,
I need some assistance restoring a backup of my sites home directory .tar.gz file.
When I attempt to restore the backup from cPanel I receive "Problem loading page - The connection was reset" error. There isn't a proxy or firewall causing the issue.
If someone could help me restore the home dir that would be much appreciated.
Hello, I was exploring Ubuntu and I clicked on Dash. I searched for "Naut..." then I saw 2 applications their mames are "Home Folder" and "Files". Accidently, I transported Files to the Desktop. I've 2 questions which may be unimportant. Sorry for wasting your time.
1. Can someone tell me where were it to restore it?
Hi!
For first - sorry for my english :)
My steps to restore backup:
1. Full wipe, clear cache/dalvik itd
2. Restore backup.
SGS3 wake up :) All it's ok (apps/settings etc) but when in try open gallery (images from camera) images dissapear.
In first moment, when I open Gallery I have "old" list (from backup) of images, but I can't open this.
I am having an issue with Backintime version 1.0.8-1.
I am testing out the above before I install the 64 bit of 12.04. When I hit "restore" of Backup the computer does nothing. When I go to my Home folder and try to see the contents of my external drive that I backed up to I can't access it. When I try to "Safely Remove" I am told I can't. Finally just rebooted and everything was back to normal. Any ideas?
Hey everyone,
then next app BETA is finished :) "Easy Contact Sync".
Based on my last app "Easy App Toolbox", I created this new app for handling your contacts.
Contacts are saved as VCARDs (*.vcf files).
I have a quick question about the "BackUp" application that comes with Ubuntu 12.04.
I managed to set up my computer the way I like it. Now, I'd like to create a backup of my file system partition. I've research a few backup options (such as fsarchiver, partimage), but if I'm not mistaken, in order to be able to use fsarchiver I have to run it from a live cd.
