Currently running CM10 nightlies on my i747.
I am a big fan of the camera functionality of the stock touchwiz rom, I'm definitely up to experimenting to try to figure out how to carry over the stock camera app to a different AOSP based rom.
The stock camera app has great functionality and GUI.
First of all, you should probably know:
- It is rooted
- I renamed the camera click .ogg sound files using ROM toolbox pro, but the camera app still makes the shutter sound
Is there any way to disable the camera shutter sound? I've been scouring the internet for solutions and thought rooting my phone would do the trick, but now I can't seem to be able to even accomplish this task with root.
What’s this? Apparently the shutter on the camera of the HTC One X (and perhaps the whole One series) can be controlled remotely by some Bluetooth headsets. That’s a pretty cool trick. Someone from ePrice, a Chinese tech forum, has posted a video of a few different Bluetooth headsets remotely taking pictures through a One X.
I have been trying to disable the camera shutter since it is so annoying when taking pictures. I downloaded a file explorer and went to /system/media/audio/ui and found .ogg sound files, I renamed the camera_click.ogg to camera_click.ogg.bak and restarted the phone. The shutter sound still persists, is the sound file located somewhere else?
gPhoto is a program that controls a digital camera from a Linux machine. cron is the tried and true job scheduling program that has been a part of Unix and Linux since the beginning. Put those together with your camera and small footprint Linux machine and you can take all kinds of regularly timed photographs.
Hello, i was wandering, how come noone has developed an app or a tweak for the camera that will give us full control of the settings (shutter etc - i know aperture is a hardware thing).
I mean to give us the ability to choose for example shutter times for up to 30" or even more, since this is a software related issue.
Are there any apps for the GS3 that allow you to manually control the shutter speed and ISO independently?
I have tried Camera FV-5 which only allows going to "long+" which ends up somewhere between 1/30 and 1/17, at higher shutter speeds it drops resolution to 1080P.

When your camera is 500 feet up hanging from a balloon, how do you tell it when to shoot photos? Or you want to shoot some time-lapse photos of clouds, the changing light on a mountain, a slow-moving highway repair crew...Akkana Peck shows us how to remote-control all kinds of Canon camera functions using CHDK, the Canon Hack Development Kit.
I develop a camera app ,I want to control camera's shutter time ,is that possible to realize?and what I want to realize final is prolong the exposure function, thank for your answer.
