Disable touchpad with xinput

https://bbs.archlinux.org – Your `xinput list` output lists the touchpad as "PS/2 Generic Mouse", which is wrong. It's detected as "SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad" for me.Try restarting the X server for the synaptics driver to load.I agree that what you really want may be syndaemon (read the wiki on that), but the xinput method goes like this:$ xinput list ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ SynPS/2 Synaptics TouchPad id=13 [slave pointer (2)] < (HowTos)
