I'm not sure if this is specific to receiving messages from Verizon customers, but when I do text this one person from Verizon and they send a long message, it splits it up into multiple messages and they all show up out of order in the conversation view. I've tried the SMS Time Fix app, but I don't know if I'm using it correctly. Either way, it's not working.
Although some file archivers offer us the option of split the files, this can be easily accomplished with two commands: split and cat.
Splitting a file with split
split just needs the size of the parts that we want to create, and the file that we want to split, e.g.:
split -b 1024 file_to_split.bin
I have my spectrum rooted and running CM10.1-experimental-M2.
Whenever I am texting and go over 160, it used to convert them to mms messages to keep them in one long message. However, since I installed cm10.1 it splits them up.
Any way to prevent this from happening?
Thanks
Quick question, I'm sure its been answered but I guess my search keywords are too vague. I want to stay on aokp but i tend to write long sms messages a lot and on all the aokp JB roms it keeps breaking my txt messages up into several multiple small messages which is really annoying for everyone. On sammy roms it doesnt do this.
Anyway to fix this?
Usually log messages are written to stderr. I'm wondering if it is a good idea/practice to split log messages so that errors and warnings go to stderr while debug/informational/notice messages go to stdout instead?
Testing a socket.io application in the PROD environment for the first time, we found that while the xhr-polling transport (Ajax long polling) works, the websocket transport does not.
Looking at the data transmitted using Fiddler, I can see that the
UPGRADE happens and
the first message from the server (5 bytes gross) arrive at the client.
The client then sends a couple of messages to the server
Hi, I have over 3,000 text messages on my phone, and I need a decently quickly way to delete them. I've seen a few other posts on here about this topic, but everything everyone has said isn't working for my phone. I've tried downloading the SMS Backup & Restore app; it was working fine while backing up my text messages, but now I'm trying to delete them all, and it is taking FOREVER.
Hi,
Today I received a spam text to my phone from brianna@justcreatit.info. I notice that if I open my Messaging app, when I select Menu, one of the choices is "Spam messages". How do I use this feature?
I have a hardware which is flashed with the following operating system :

I have noticed that the ssh login as well as telnet takes too long, even though I try to login from the same subnet.
I do not see any unusual messages being logged in the /var/log/messages
I tried ssh -vvv and I can see that the delay is mainly due to the fetch in the remote protocol
