diff/patch a directory?

http://forums.fedoraforum.org – I can create a patch for a file with the following: Code: diff -uN OldFile NewFile > patch.txt then apply the patch with: Code: patch OldFile < patch.txt I tried this with directories: Code: diff -uN OldDirectory NewDirectory > patch.txt it seemed to work fine. Then I tried to apply the patch: Code: patch OldDirectory < patch.txt but it says "patch: **** File OldDirectory is not a regular file -- can't patch". What I'm trying to do is make a patch for an open source project but I have changed several files and it doesn't seem to make sense to have to do this for each one of them. Anyone know how to do this? Thanks, Dave (HowTos)
